Verizon LG G3 and G Vista press images leak as rumored release date approaches

Verizon is set to offer two of LG's latest smartphones to its customers in the near future. Press images for the Verizon LG G3 and G Vista have leaked.

LG is getting ready to launch its latest flagship G3 smartphone with all fours major U.S. carriers. The company and carriers haven't announced an official release date. We recently reported that Verizon would likely launch the LG G3 on July 17.

The LG G3 will be the first smartphone in the U.S. to sport a very high resolution 2560 x 1440 QHD display. Reviews of the smartphone have given the G3 high marks when it comes to the quality of its display. The LG G3 easily topples flagship smartphones like Samsung's Galaxy S5's 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, HTC One M8's 1080p display, and Apple's Retina display.

As we're getting close to an official announcement from Verizon on when we can expect the LG G3 in stores, a new image of the Verizon LG G Vista has leaked and is shown next to a Verizon LG G3.

The always-reliable evleaks posted an image of the Verizon LG G3 and G Vista. The tipster didn't reveal any further information. The Verizon G Vista leaked a few days ago and is believed to be a mid-range phablet and a LG G Pro 2 Lite variant.

The G Vista will compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and offer an inexpensive alternative to Samsung's flagship phablet, which also comes with a flagship price. Some reports have claimed that the G Vista will likely retail for $99 with a new two-year contract when it's released.

The LG G Vista will reportedly feature a 5.7-inch 1280 x 720 display. It will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, an Adreno 205 GPU (graphics processing unit). The G Vista will reportedly ship with 8GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 32GB microSD cards. It will sport an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video chat and selfiies. The phablet will also ship with a large 3200 mAh battery.

The LG G3 boats a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is packing a 13-megapixel rear camera that includes laser autofocus on a smartphone for the first time and a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera. The LG G3 is also using a large 3,000 mAh removable battery.

While no release date has been confirmed by Verizon, all signs are pointing to a July 17 launch for both smartphones. Once we hear more information, we'll be sure to pass it on.
