Top 3 features that should make the LG G3 your next smartphone

The LG G3 is now among its flagship smartphone peers and its available features make it one of the best choices when purchasing a new handset.

To call the LG G3 one of the most talked-about smartphones this year would be an understatement. The handset made headlines on an almost daily basis leading up to its official announcement.

Let's take a look at why you should really consider choosing the LG G3 as your next smartphone.

1. It's all about the display:

If there's one feature that defines the G3, it's surely its mind-blowing 5.5-inch Quad-HD display, which packs in a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a pixel density of 538 pixels per inch (ppi). In other words, the screen is absolutely stunning and no other smartphone has a screen that can compare. The front of the smartphone is almost all screen, you've got an edge-to-edge display with tiny bezels that will make anything from gaming to HD movies look amazing.

2. Laser autofocus rear camera:

Smartphones try to replace your point-and-shoot camera, but few ever achieve this feat. LG wants the pictures you take with the G3 to be the best, and one of the ways it's ensuring this is by adding the first laser autofocus system to a smartphone camera. The rear camera is a high-end 13-megapixel shooter with optical image stabilization for low light levels and the company is addressing the 'selfie' craze by using a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera that can capture selfiies when the user performs a clenched fist gesture.

3. Processor and RAM:

While LG, Samsung and HTC have all used quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processors, LG has gone the extra step and included 3 GB of RAM in the G3, whereas Samsung and HTC settled on 2 GB of RAM. The extra RAM will come in handy now and in the future for things like multitasking, using your favorite apps, and playing processor-intensive games.

LG has confirmed that all four major U.S. carriers will offer the G3 on their networks, but unfortunately there is no firm release date. LG has said the G3 will ship "later this summer" in the United States.
