We should know by now that no topic of controversy is off the table when it comes to South Park. So, it should come as no surprise that the show's premiere episode for its latest season will kick off with Tom Brady jokes and revolve around Caitlyn Jenner's transformation.
Comedy Central released a new promo video for its Season 19 premiere, titled "Stunning and Brave," which pokes at the words that former wife Kris Jenner used to describe the speech Caitlyn made when accepting the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY Awards that took place in July.
While the title of the teaser clip alludes to the fact the episode will highlight Caitlyn Jenner, it is not yet known how Comedy Central will go about bringing this topic into the episode's storyline.
However, according to the promo video, Cartman is trying to get out of detention, probably for doing something in poor taste.
"There is a new principal at the helm of South Park Elementary. He forces the boys to confront the damage they've done through their history of racism and unconscious bias. It is the most stunning and brave South Park ever," the first episode of Season 19's synopsis reads.
While the episode will pay homage to Jenner in some way, we do learn from the promo that the episode also will bring up the Deflategate scandal. As Cartman is ranting to the gang, he reveals he will try to get out of his detention just like Brady got out of being found guilty of allegedly knowing about the deflated footballs.
Aiming to "pull a Tom Brady," Cartman says he will appeal his four-day detention to get it reduced to nothing it all. Brady recently had his four-game suspension overturned.
Of course, the writers don't stop there, going on to then tease Brady's supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen.
This is not the first time South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have made fun of the Patriots quarterback. The football star was picked on in Season 17, when Kyle's brother is given Brady's hormone pills and Brady receives laxatives instead.
In the premiere episode of Season 18, the NFL was also picked on for the controversy surrounding the Washington Redskins' name.
We can only wait to see how Parker and Stone tackle these two controversial topics.
South Park Season 19 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 10 p.m. EST on Comedy Central. Check out the "Stunning and Brave" preview below.
