Spotify CEO Just Launched a Sci-Fi Health Clinic in London — Here's What's Special About Neko Health

The futurisic facility will give you results of your scan within an hour.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek went outside his music streaming venture to launch Neko Health, the biggest body-scanning clinic in London.

Unlike the usual health facilities that detect abnormalities in the patient's bodies, it makes use of state-of-the-art technology to revolutionize preventive healthcare by accelerating full-body diagnostics, making them smarter and more accessible.

AI Body Scans Meet Human Insight

With the help of business Hjalmar Nilsonne, Ek managed to open the biggest AI-driven clinic in Spitalfields Market in London. According to The Next Web, the company successfully launched its first UK branch in Marylebone six months ago.

Central to Neko Health's mission is its innovative combination of cutting-edge technology and specialized medical assessment. Neko Health clinics employ lidar sensors, AI software, skin mapping, and real-time blood analysis to collect millions of data points within minutes.

From cardiovascular health and vascular function to inflammation and dermatological issues, the system identifies early signs of potential medical problems.

What distinguishes Neko is its human-led reading: following the scan, a qualified physician goes over the results in person with the patient, interpreting hard-to-digest information into simple wisdom, all during a single hour-long appointment.

Spitalfields Clinic Doubles Scan Capacity

Located in one of London's most vibrant districts, the new 7,466-square-foot Spitalfields clinic is built for scale. It can accommodate up to 30,000 scans per year, significantly boosting the company's UK footprint. This expansion marks the next phase of Neko's ambitious plan to make proactive healthcare mainstream.

Nilsonne said that they are currently doubling down in London to scale up the healthcare venture.

Why London Is Neko's Strategic Launchpad

Selecting London as the starting point for global expansion was not coincidental. As stated by a Neko spokesperson, the city has a "globally representative and competitive private healthcare market" and is the perfect proving ground for wider expansion.

"If we can break into this market, we have a chance to do it elsewhere. Additionally, London is a global healthcare hub, with world-class medical institutions and research centers," the firm said.

The business is already set to launch two additional UK clinics later this year, while in the meantime, assessing other major cities as potential future locations.

Consumer Demand Indications Point to Increasing Trust

Neko Health's £299-a-scan model is highly appealing to consumers. Its Marylebone clinic rapidly accumulated lengthy waiting lists, and the firm says 80% of patients book in for next year upon completion of their first appointment.

So far, more than 15,000 body scans have been conducted at Neko's clinics in London and Stockholm, a figure likely to increase exponentially with the arrival of the new clinic.
