When it was released back in 2012, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen was one of Capcom's most anticipated game releases. As expected, the game did well on the market and is highly rated by numerous game reviewers from console communities.
With positive responses from the player base, Capcom was plagued with queries and requests for porting the game to PC. However, Capcom has remained silent and kept the game exclusive to consoles, both the Xbox and PlayStation.
More than three years later, the guys at Capcom have finally come to their senses and released the game for PC. On Sept. 8, the company made the big announcement confirming the game's availability to PC owners.
Through a press release, Capcom detailed that the game will be available on any Windows-based PC through Steam for $29.99 dollars. However, it won't be until January 2016 when the game will be put on sale.
For the uninitiated, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a fantasy action RPG that is set in an open world. Like the rest in its genre, the game allows players to have their own characters and support of their choosing. These AI-controlled supports are known as Pawns and can be rented and shared with other online players.
Capcom promises to bring better graphics and game experience with this PC-ported Dragon's Dogma.
"The PC version will feature stunningly high-res graphics and improved fidelity," said Capcom.
Furthermore, players will be able to enjoy the game using their choice devices since it offers support for Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers. This is in addition to the mouse and keyboard support that cannot be done without when porting to a PC.
On a related note, Capcom is getting positive feedback for their decision to let PC gamers experience the game. This is in contrast to the social media flaming that the company received when it announced that Street Fighter V will be a PlayStation exclusive courtesy of the Capcom's partnership with Sony.
