Bethesda Reveals New 'Fallout 4' Art For Upcoming Book

Gamers can't wait to get their hands on the latest title from the Fallout franchise that will be released this fall. But they can also look forward to some never-before-seen concept art and designs of the Wasteland environments featured in the game in a new art book from Bethesda Game Studios and Dark Horse.

Teasing fans about the upcoming book called The Art of Fallout 4, Bethesda revealed several images on its Twitter account.

The four pictures taken from the hardcover book include a scene showing a bridge over blue waters that reflect the light from the sun. The skies are blue and the lift bridge seems to be partially erect to let a large ship, the colors of orange and bronze, slip through.

Along with commentary from the game's developers, The Art of Fallout 4 will consist of concept designs and illustrations, such as details about the game's weapons and characters. So it's only fitting that the other images released provide character visualizations.

In two different images, we are introduced to the new creatures in the game called Generation 2 Synths. These humanoid creatures have wiring running through their bodies beneath artificial skin. The final image is of T-51 Power Armor.

Bethesda first introduced Fallout 4 at E3 earlier this summer. The open-world RPG game starts in Boston, at a time before the bombs fall — starting off as a prequel to the post-apocalyptic world to come. Players will be able to slow down time to better target the most damaging body parts in attacking their enemies — a feature that was featured in both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. The game is also expected to have DLC, and PC and Xbox One gamers will be able to mod the game.

According to Amazon, The Art of Fallout 4 was originally going to be released on November 10 for a retail price of $39.99 — the same day as the video game release. However, the date on Amazon was changed to December 22, the same day the Bethesda Store has it listed.

Fallout 4 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PCs on November 10.
