In a new trailer for The CW's The Flash, Barry Allen challenges his season two villains with "You want me? You're going to have to catch me."
The trailer also shows a sneak peek of some of those villains, including the return of Captain Cold and the debut of Atom-Smasher on the series (as portrayed by former WWE wrestler-turned actor Adam "Edge" Copeland).
The video also shows a sneak peek of what looks like a Flash signal. Hey, Batman gets one, so why not the Flash?
The season one finale saw a huge singularity appearing over Central City after Barry and team defeated Eobard Thawne. At the end of that episode, Barry ran into that singularity, which led to who knows where.
It seems that the Flash, though, is alive and well, but that season finale left a lot of questions unanswered: what happened to Harrison Wells, if Eobard Thawne truly got erased from time with the death of his ancestor Eddie Thawne? Where does that singularity leave? Will Barry travel through multiple universes this season?
Of course, we'll have to watch to get answers, but we do know a few details about the new season of the series, including the debut of Wally West, who, in the comic books, eventually becomes Kid Flash.
The CW also revealed that the female version of Doctor Light in season two, as well as hinted that recurring character Cisco will finally start discovering his own metahuman abilities.
Other characters debuting this season are Jay Garrick, who will act as a mentor to Barry. We can also expect to eventually see Caitlin Snow become Killer Frost, as teased in the season one finale.
Also, recently, actor Grant Gustin took home a Teen Choice award for his portrayal of Barry Allen, aka The Flash, on the series.
The Flash returns to the CW on October 6.
