Superhero Doctor Light Will Make Debut On Season Two Of 'The Flash'

With another announcement of a cast addition, it looks like yet another metahuman will be joining The CW's superhero coterie on The Flash – the one and only Doctor Light.

OK, so maybe not the one and only. As many fans of The Flash are aware, there are two different iterations of Doctor Light. The first Doctor Light was mentioned during an early episode of The CW's hit TV comic book adaptation – during Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco Ramon's (Carlos Valdes) debut on The Flash's companion show Arrow – of an ex-S.T.A.R. Labs employee named Arthur Light, an obvious reference to the villainous version of DC's canonical character.

According to Flash showrunner Gabrielle Stanton, the Light-in-question making a cameo on the show's second season will be "the female version," which can only mean one thing: the debut of scientist Kimiyo Hoshi, a superhero with photonic powers, as her alias suggests.

As of now, there is no news as of who will play the character, or what her story line will be.

The Flash is set to return to The CW for its second season on Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. EDT.
