Brock Lesnar is one of few athletes who can say he's worked for both WWE's Vince McMahon and UFC's Dana White — two of the best promoters in sports entertainment/sports today.
However, having jumped from WWE to the UFC and back to World Wrestling Entertainment, Lesnar thinks he's more than qualified to put McMahon head-to-head with White when it comes to a promotion comparison ... and "The Beast" is giving the edge to his current boss, McMahon.
Lesnar made the declaration live on ESPN's SportsCenter on Tuesday morning (August 18) during an appearance to promote his huge SummerSlam match against The Undertaker this Sunday (August 23) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
White's name was brought up because the UFC president recently tweeted to WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins that pro-wrestling is fake. Lesnar addressed that, too, while on SportsCenter.
"Well, of course, Dana, it's fake, everybody knows that. But it's still the same ... you're promoting the same thing we're promoting," Lesnar said. "Dana White is promoting fights, we're promoting fights. It just so happens we get a little more longevity out of our fight and out of our fighters because of the circumstances.
"It is a staged arena, everybody knows that ... and if you can't turn WWE on Monday night and get something out of that show and be entertained, then there's something wrong with you," he added. "So, Dana ... probably in his defense is promoting fighting, but it's the same thing. He's trying to sell pay-per-views, he's trying to sell money fights ... it's the same racket."
Lesnar's match against The Undertaker marks the first time they're meeting one-on-one in the squared circle since "The Beast" ended the Dead Man's WrestleMania winning streak last April as part of WrestleMania XXX.
Wonder if White will be tuning in to check out the rematch?
