Mortal Kombat X PC Mod Shows Masked And Umasked Faces Of Characters [Video]

A YouTube user by the name of Dynasty has uploaded a video that reveals the faces of several masked characters from highly-acclaimed and brutal fighting game Mortal Kombat X.

The video shows a mod applied on the PC version of the game. The mod removed the masks that the characters wear and show the faces that the masks were hiding.

The video reveals the unmasked faces of playable Mortal Kombat X fighters Erron Black, Ferra Torr, Jason Voorhees and Revenant Sub-Zero. However, the video also shows the faces of Smoke and Rain, which are two characters that are not yet playable in the game.

Smoke and Rain have long been the subject of rumors that they could become playable characters in Mortal Kombat X, probably through a DLC pack that will be released in the future.

One interesting thing that should be noted is that the unmasked characters in showcased in the video have fully-developed faces, despite the fact that no current costumes of the said characters reveal their faces.

The Kombat Pack DLC for Mortal Kombat X was recently completed with the addition of earthen ninja Tremor to the fighter lineup of the title, joining the Predator, Jason Voorhees and Tanya as the fighters that were introduced in the DLC.

However, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, now with Mortal Kombat X developer NetherRealm Studios, has teased that there is a Kombat Pack 2 DLC coming soon for the fighting game.

The teases being made by Boon raise hopes among the game's fans that more content will be released for Mortal Kombat X, possibly with the introduction of Smoke and Rain.

However, there has been no official announcement yet on the Kombat Pack 2 DLC. Gamers will have no choice but to wait if NetherRealm Studios really is working on another DLC.

Other rumors surrounding the possibility of the game's next DLC is that Spawn will become a playable character, as Boon has also previously teased, along with a Jurassic Kombat mode that pits two dinosaurs against each other in the fighting game and a story pack that patches the non-playable characters in story mode to make them playable.
