'Klassic Fatalities' Come To 'Mortal Kombat X' So You Can Relive The Glory Days

NetherRealm today quietly made some new DLC available to owners of Mortal Kombat X.

Unlike other downloadable content, which the company has touted with great fanfare — such as yesterday's addition of Predator as a playable character — this DLC is flying under the radar a bit. But it's pretty cool, so we don't want you to miss it.

The best part is: it's free.

Today's DLC is called "Klassic Fatality Pack 1," and it adds four new finishing moves to your game, all of them matching up with fatality moves from older Mortal Kombat games. Accordingly, the moves are only for longtime characters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Sonya and Johnny Cage. The fatality moves seem to consist of variations of burning opponents alive and ripping heads off.

In addition to the fatalities, you're also getting a free skin. Scorpion goes "Kold War" when you download and apply this new skin.

Here he is in all his Kold War glory.

A helpful YouTuber has posted a video of all four fatalities in action so you can see what they look like. How many do you recognize?
