Fallout 4 Collector's Edition Will Come With A Pip-Boy That You Can Really Use

This is one of the coolest gadgets we've ever seen come with a game. The working smartphone casing, which will allow you to use your iPhone like an actual Pip-Boy in Fallout 4, will come packaged with the Collector's Edition of the game on Nov. 10.

We are itching to get one of these bad boys on our wrists that we're more than happy to shell out the $120 for the games and Pip-Boy.

The app that you can download for the game will enable your iPhone, aka, replica Pip-Boy to act as a second screen for the game. Even if you're not able to purchase the incredibly rad casing, you can still enjoy using your iPhone as a second screen. So when you receive in-game notifications, all you have to do is glance down at your own wrist, in real life and in real-time.

The unveiling of the Pip-Boy was met with excitement and thunderous applause at E3 2015. Even Bethesda's game director Todd Howard could not help but voice his honest reaction to the marketing ploy:

"As far as stupid gimmicks go, this is the best f***ing one I've ever seen," he said.

According to Bethesda's official description for Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition, "This wearable device faithfully replicates the in-game model and comes complete with RobCo Industries stand, custom-printed capsule, adjustable foam cuff, rotating knobs and lights. Designed to accommodate a variety of smartphone devices with customizable foam inserts, the Pip-Boy is the ultimate accessory for the official Pip-Boy companion mobile app that allows players to manage their in-game inventory, perks, holotapes and more."

But be sure to grab your own Pip-Boy for $120 from Best Buy online or as soon as it hits the shelves. The company will only be producing a limited supply of the cool, post-apocalyptic-inspired device.
