The future of generative AI is as far as Apple's developments are concerned as a new report claims that the company will revamp its Health app next year. The addition of AI to the app is reportedly part of "Project Mulberry."
The Health app, which centers on tracking different activities, workouts, health, and wellness, will reportedly get the AI upgrade sometime during spring or summer next year.
Apple Health App to Get AI-powered Revamp Come Next Year
According to the latest report from Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter (via Bloomberg), a health coach is on the way to the Health app. This upcoming health coach will be powered by generative AI that Apple designed, one that is intended to address everything about health and wellness that users want to know about.
According to Gurman, Apple is set to deliver "AI agents" that will focus inherently on health-related concerns, with the analyst going as far as to say that this technology may "replicate" a real doctor.
It will work by taking notes from the user's existing health data and records that Apple devices have collected over the years, particularly for Apple Watch owners, and have the AI-powered health coach take charge of giving recommendations.

Furthermore, Apple hired experts to help train its AI agent and is looking to hire outside help, including physicians, nutritionists, sleep experts, physical and mental health experts, and to help ensure that the tech works like it's meant to.
Apple's Focus on AI For Its Tech Developments
After years of holding out from delivering the modern artificial intelligence experience for Apple's tech ecosystem, the company finally introduced Apple Intelligence to the world last year via iOS 18. However, that is not yet the best of what it has to offer as the company faced massive delays in its release, and analysts claim that the Cupertino-based tech giant is still behind amidst the competition.
One of the top expectations from Apple is to deliver the more advanced version of Siri that features generative AI for users, and while the company was able to introduce it in its latest release, many still felt that it was lacking. Siri's next-gen capabilities are indeed delayed, and Apple recently confirmed that, claiming that its promised features will arrive two years from now instead.
