Earlier, Tech Times reported that the Nintendo Switch 2 was rumored to launch in spring. However, a recent rumor refutes this possibility, suggesting that a June release date is more feasible.
A top retailer's internal reports confirm that the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for release in June. The documents further confirm that the pre-orders shall open on April 9, which is merely one week after the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct event.
Why June is the 'Safest' Launch Date For Switch 2?
As uncovered by Insider Gaming, Nintendo's well-known Japanese video game firm consultant, Dr. Serkan Toto, also weighed in on this speculation on Twitter. He said the best time for Nintendo would be in June, since July and August would be in the way, being summer vacations.
Toto added that it might be too unsafe to release after September because by then, it will be five months into Nintendo's new fiscal year, which runs from April 1.
June release for Switch 2? Probably.

July or August would be hard because of summer holidays.
They cannot wait until September - 5 months into Nintendo's next fiscal year (which starts April 1).
What hits could they even offer until then, while hardware sales implode, too?

Is Nintendo Able to Release the Switch 2 Sooner?
Although Dr. Toto's prophecy makes sense, there are those in the industry who think Nintendo could catch fans off guard and release the Switch 2 sometime between April and May. That would take an extremely well-planned effort, with Nintendo gearing up for mass production and distribution. It would be logistically difficult and more expensive for Nintendo to do this early, though.
Releasing the console earlier than June would result in a short pre-order time, allowing resellers a chance to overwhelm the market. People tend to like having a two-month time frame to get their pre-orders in without risking being cleaned out by scalpers,
Speaking of pre-orders, a new Switch 2 leak teased that buyers could pre-order right after Nintendo Direct, which is April 2.
The Risk of Rushing a Nintendo Switch 2 Launch
If Nintendo were to move up the Switch 2 release before June, it would be a brave and potentially hazardous step. Producing sufficient consoles to satisfy worldwide demand within that time frame would be a feat of gigantic proportions. Additionally, releasing too quickly following the reveal could cut down on marketing potential and result in supply bottlenecks, infuriating impatient fans.
Was Nintendo Switch 2's Release Postponed?
Speculations said that Nintendo possibly postponed the release of the Switch 2 due to numerous factors. Maybe due to market sentiment, improvement of hardware, or logistical problems, the firm seems to take its time so that the release is problem-free.
Being as highly successful as the initial Nintendo Switch was, the company is put under pressure to fulfill expectations in the form of the next-gen console.
We'll know if these details are true after the Nintendo Direct this week.
