There is good news for all Resident Evil fans! Xbox head Phil Spencer announced on Twitter that Resident Evil 7 shall be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative.
Resident Evil 7 is all set to enthrall its fans with its horror drama based on varied adventures. The franchise is looking forward to providing a spectacular gaming experience to its fans and hopes to perform according to expectations.
This time, the developers and designers have tried to replace the action drama with more ominous and terrifying incidents.
Resident Evil 7 And More
According to Spencer, people who purchase the digital game on Windows 10 and Xbox One shall be able to avail it on other platforms as well.
At this moment, two independent games — Everspace by Rockfish Games and Astroneer by System Era Softworks along with first-party titled games Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, Killer Instinct, and ReCore — support the initiative.
The PC and Xbox One players will not get the opportunity to enjoy the PlayStation VR jump scares.
Initiative: Enhancing Gaming Experience
The best part of this program is that the users of Microsoft get to purchase the game and play it on both the platforms. The player will have the ability to sync the progress of the game and save it across all available platforms. The players can then have access to the game on both Xbox One and PC.
While playing the game on PC, the player can leave the game when required and resume it by picking up from where he or she had left it on Xbox One.
The free as well as the paid downloadable materials of the game shall be available for PC and Xbox One users.
For the unfamiliar, to receive complete advantage of the game, it is desirable that users purchase it directly through the Windows Stores or Xbox platforms. One can also purchase it from a retailer using a digital code, which shall be one of the convenient options.
The Resident Evil developed by Capcom is one of the first games that is included under the program and is not published by Microsoft. Prior to this, all the other digital games were available for gaming experience only on Xbox One and PC. It was Microsoft that took the initiative to launch the program in September. This took place along with the release of another game called ReCore.
Release
Resident Evil 7 will be released on Jan. 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
For eager fans who refuse to wait that long, they can now play the demo teaser named Beginning Hour on all the three platforms.
