'Bioshock: The Collection' Remasters Will Be Out Soon, So Here's An Early Taste [Video]

Last weekend, no less than three novel gameplay videos rolled out for the BioShock: The Collection package, and the gaming world saw the visible improvements one week prior to the gaming event that will take place in Seattle.

One week before PAX West is set to begin, gamers are able to enjoy more than half an hour of new footage of the trilogy, and it came in remastered, eye-watering quality. Despite the common fact that BioShock has always packed serious quantities of eye candy, everyone agrees that the series never looked this good.

Each of the three videos showcasing BioShock: The Collection lasts somewhere between 7 and 13 minutes, and the gaming company 2K posted them on the official YouTube channel.

It is worth keeping in mind that BioShock 2 was the Cinderella of the trio, as the second installment of the game got only 7 minutes and 44 seconds of running time. On the other hand, BioShock Infinite video clips last about twice as long.

Fans launched consistent rants about the fact that each of the three videos focuses on the debut portions of their respective titles. This means that there are very few things to surprise fans of the series in the videos, even if a player was unable to finish one or any of the BioShock games.

It is hard to tell whether the platform that the videos were recorded on was the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4.

BioShock: The Collection should also land on PC, packing all the revamped versions just like its console counterparts. Some gamers will receive the revamped editions of each installment in the form of free updates. An important detail is that the updates apply to owners of the corresponding entry in the BioShock franchise.

However, keep in mind that the PC version of BioShock Infinite is said to sport no significant difference as it will only be remastered for consoles.

Insiders familiar with the matter pointed out that BioShock: The Collection was crafted with all major gaming platforms in mind: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Blind Squirrel Games, which collaborated with Irrational Games in the past, is the gaming company behind the enhanced compilation.

Gamers might want to reinstall the original variants of BioShock games in anticipation of the three remastered titles that will launch next month.

The compilation will enter stores on Sept. 13.

Meanwhile, check out the gameplay footage below and let us know if you're as excited as we are about facing Big Daddys again.
