September was supposed to be the month of Final Fantasy XV, as the highly anticipated new entry to the long-running and well-loved RPG franchise was intended to be released on Sept. 30 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, gamers who have been waiting for 10 years for Final Fantasy XV will have to wait for two more months, as the release has been pushed back to Nov. 29 because of the game requiring extra polishing.

September certainly looks like the month for sports games, especially near the end of the month when Forza Horizon 3 for the Xbox One and NBA 2K17 for both platforms are released. Two big-name soccer video game franchises will also be going head to head, as both PES 2017 and FIFA 17 are scheduled to be released next month.
An interesting video game to be released next month is BioShock: The Collection. For the longest time, gamers knew about 2K Games planning to release remastered versions of the BioShock games for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. After numerous rumors and leaks, 2K Games finally made an official announcement in June for BioShock: The Collection, which as expected, includes remastered versions of BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite.
ReCore, exclusive for the Xbox One, will be sold at a budget price of $40, despite being an AAA first-party title with talent such as Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune and the people behind the Metroid Prime trilogy. According to Xbox marketing manager Aaron Greenberg, the low price for the game is due to ReCore being a brand-new IP, and so it needs to establish a player base by attracting gamers to try out the title.
