Sprint Gives 12 Months Of Free Amazon Prime To Customers Who Sign Up For Better Choice XXL

Sprint is adding a serious perk to new and existing subscribers of the Better Choice XXL data plan. Subscribers will now get a free 12-month subscription to Amazon Prime when they sign up or upgrade their current plan.

Sprint is leveraging its fast 4G LTE network to deliver Amazon services, and users can enjoy the synergy of the offer.

An Amazon Prime membership normally costs $99 per year and provides a host of benefits to Amazon shoppers. In addition to free two-day shipping, same-day delivery in select areas, on a host of items, Amazon Prime members also get access to Amazon Prime video, Prime Music, unlimited cloud photo storage, and access to free books on Amazon Kindle apps and devices.

"The Amazon Better Choice XXL Plan gives customers sharable data to maximize the benefits of Amazon Prime's full entertainment package," Roger Sole, chief marketing officer of Sprint, said in the announcement posted on Sprint's website. "Combining America's fastest LTE network with Amazon Prime's array of quality entertainment is an amazing benefit for our customers," Sole added.

Existing Sprint subscribers will have to upgrade their plan to Amazon Better Choice XXL. This plan will offer up to 40 GB of high speed data plus unlimited talk and text. After 40 GB downloads, it will switch to 2G speed or subscribers can opt to buy more high-speed bandwidth at $15 per GB. Alternatively, subscribers have the option to add Amazon Prime to their existing Sprint plan for $10.99 per month. However, at a total cost of $132 per year, existing Sprint subscribers are better off just signing up for Amazon Prime directly unless they want to upgrade their data plan.

The Amazon Better Choice XXL plan currently costs $100 per month plus taxes and fees. Sprint's better choice plans range in price from $20 a month for 1 GB of high-speed internet up to $40 for the Better Choice XXL plan.

To receive the free 12-month Amazon Prime membership deal through Sprint, customers can sign up at www.sprint.com/plans or call 1(800)-SPRINT1. Sprint will send out a text message with an activation link to register a new or existing Amazon account. The 12-month subscription to Amazon Prime begins when the customer completes the activation steps.
