Amazon Studios announced the season 2 premiere dates for its original series Bosch and Catastrophe during the Television Critics Association Winter 2016 Press Tour.
Everyone's favorite cranky cop Harry Bosch will return on March 11 in season 2 of Bosch. This season the Los Angeles homicide detective and his team will be heading over to Las Vegas after a dead body is found in the trunk of a car on Mulholland Drive. The murder will have some mob connections, and things will get personal as Bosch follows the trail of corruption.
Bosch season 2 stars Titus Welliver (Lost) as Harry Bosch, Jamie Hector (The Wire) as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino (Being Human) as Lt. Grace Billets, Sarah Clarke (24) as Eleanor Wish, Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead) as Maddie Bosch, Jeri Ryan (Body of Proof) as Veronica Allen and Lance Reddick (The Wire) as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.
Amazon also revealed that season 2 of Catastrophe will premiere on April 8 on the streaming platform. This comedy follows the story of an Irish woman and American man who struggle to keep their relationship together. Written by and starring Rob Delany and Sharon Horgan, the couple decides to give their relationship a shot after their one-night stand gets Sharon pregnant.
This season will follow their journey into parenthood, kicking off with a party to have their families meet. However, at the same time of the family party, Rob's eBay obsessed mom visits, Sharon learns shocking news about her father's health, and there is an incident with family dog.
Amazon also announced the premiere dates of two new original series being added to its lineup, Mad Dogs and The New Yorker Presents.
Premiering Jan. 22 on the platform, Mad Dogs follows the reunion of a group of friends in their 40s, who are all at crossroads in their lives. The series stars Steve Zahn (Dallas Buyers Club) as Cobi; Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) as Lex; Billy Zane (Titanic) as Milo; Romany Malco (Weeds) as Gus and Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line) as Joel.
In the first episode, the gang celebrates the early retirement of an old friend. However, old grudges come back and the fun trip then turns into a nightmare as secrets, lies, deception and murder come to the surface.
Premiering on Feb. 16 with new episodes released each week, The New Yorker Presents is a series based on content from The New Yorker magazine.
Executive produced by David Remnick, Alex Gibney, Kahane Cooperman, Dave Snyder, Michael Klein, Dawn Ostroff, and Henry Finder, this original series combines documentaries, short narratives, comedy, poetry, animation and cartoons to tell the stories that were featured in the pages.
