Now that we unwrapped the presents under the tree, sang our carols and enjoyed the company of our families during Christmas, it's only a matter of days before the New Year will be upon us.
We might already be thinking about what our New Year's resolutions will be, but no matter how much we vow to cut out eating junk food, we will never plan to curb our streaming habits. Nope, no whole new year, new me motto for us. We are using the core of the wintertime to keep streaming new movies and original series that have (or will become) our new obsession on the major platforms in January.
And while Netflix, Hulu and Amazon brought their A-game in December with plenty of holiday titles, it's time to switch gears and get back to the best new content to hit the streaming services.
January brings with it movies that we love to watch including Meet the Fockers and Constantine streaming on Netflix, the season premieres of DC's Legends of Tomorrow and The X-Files on Hulu, and the new season of Shameless on Amazon.

Now that Christmas has come and gone, we can now turn our streaming attention to new titles on Netflix. You might want to enjoy the action-packed film 2 Fast 2 Furious, or laugh along with the ridiculous Sharknado 3. But Netflix will continue to roll out new original series this month like Degrassi: The Next Class on Jan. 15, and Chelsea Does on Jan. 23.

Don't forget about movies, which include Hot Tub Time Machine 2, Footloose and The Ouija Resurrection.
