Having been the face of Wolverine for 15 years, Hugh Jackman definitely has a bond with the character. But out of all the solo and "X-Men" movies he's been in as Wolverine, does Jackman have a favorite moment?
Talking to Digital Spy, Jackman revealed that he does have a favorite moment, singling out a scene from "X-Men: First Class" where he has a cameo. According to the actor, that scene, despite just being around 15 seconds long, sums up Wolverine to him.
In that particular scene, Logan is talking to a young Erik Lehnsherr and Charles Xavier, telling them to go f*** themselves when the two tried to recruit him to be part of the original team of "X-Men". It is one of Wolverine's funniest moments and Professor X had the chance to throw the line back at him during "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
In the interview, Jackman also had a few words for the actor who will be replacing him as Wolverine in the future.
"Start training six months out," he said, recounting how he had gotten the call to become Wolverine while "X-Men" was already filming and Bryan Singer asking how long does he need to get into shape.
"If you look at the film carefully there's quite a transformation," Jackman added.
The actor is set to appear as Wolverine for the last time in the character's third solo movie, which has yet to receive a title. After that, fans will be seeing a new Logan, which has yet to be decided.
For Jackman, however, Tom Hardy would make an excellent choice to play a younger version of Wolverine. Hardy recently starred alongside Charlize Theron in "Mad Max: Fury Road." He was also Bane in "The Dark Knight Rises" and played the Kray twins in the gangster drama "Legend."
Aside from a potential release date, the third solo Wolverine movie has not shared a lot of details. Jackman has teased, however that it will focus more on Marvel's comic book lore and there are hints that the character's trademark "berserker rage" will be seen and that Sabretooth will be making an appearance as well.
The third "Wolverine" movie is scheduled for a release in 2017.
