Whether you identify more with the masked Kane, the unmasked Kane or the corporate Kane, there's no doubting that the Big Red Monster has wreaked havoc on World Wrestling Entertainment for a long, long time. Since his debut in 1997 to be exact.
WWE 2K16's game developers decided to salute his tenure with The Faces of Kane video they unleased on Tuesday (September 29). The 55-second gameplay clip shows Kane bringing hell, fire and brimstone, sporting his different looks over the years on his way down the ramp and into the ring.
There's the unmasked look of the corporate Kane, the masked and fully red-and-black suited look that he used to wear, the masked, one-sleeved bodysuit and the masked, sleevless body suit. The video shows the demonic and menacing Monster enter the ring and set of his fiery explosion of pyrotechnics with a loud boom in the ring.
Upon seeing the chilling intro, one fan wrote, "OK, take my money already." WWE 2K has done a great job in building the anticipation for the October 27 title, whether it was slowly revealing its laundry list of 120-plus playable characters or unleashing one exciting gameplay video after another—all staying true to the authenticity of the WWE.
That and don't forget, gamers can create their own destiny by shaping their storylines in the title's My Career mode. All this may very well add up to the best game in the WWE 2K series thus far. The WWE Universe and gamers alike are less than a month from finding that out.
