In continuing to build toward the release of WWE 2K16, the video game's developers have unleashed yet another gameplay video.
This one pits Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore up against the Vaudevillians, Simon Gotch and Aiden English, in back-and-forth tag-team NXT action that once again exemplifies the upcoming title's authenticity to pro-wrestling.
Seconds into the tag match, Amore drops Gotch with a DDT, before breaking into his signature dance. Cassady then delivers a big boot before hoisting Gotch over his head in a gorilla press.
"I don't know what size Colin Cassady's shoes are, but I can tell you, when he delivers his big boot, that darn thing covers his opponent's entire face!" Jerry "The King" Lawler announces from the broadcast booth as Cassady drops Gotch to the ground and proceeds to stomp him out to the crowd's uproar.
As the match continues, both teams take turns dishing out the pain, with each side nearly scoring a pinfall.
Keeping an eye on Amore alone, gamers and WWE fans alike will see how WWE 2K got every last bit of the character's mannerisms down pat — whether it's winding up his arm before delivering a punch, breaking out into some dance moves or playing it up to the crowd.
That and complicated moves, such as the tornado DDT from the top rope and superplex — not to mention signature moves like the East River Crossing and Sky's the Limit — all come across fluidly in this video.
This gameplay is about as true-to-life as an actual high-energy NXT match can possibly be.
WWE 2K16 is just over a month away from its Oct. 27 release date.
