Presentation slides which appear to have been designed for retail employees to use as a promotional and information tool for Google's upcoming Huawei-made Nexus 6P have been leaked, revealing almost everything there is to know about the device.
While most of the specifications contained in the document and its presentation notes have been previously revealed or rumored, the information contained within the slides mostly confirms such details on the Nexus 6P.
The slides on technical specifications for the Nexus 6P confirm the device as having a "slim and sophisticated" metal unibody weighing 178 grams. The device is lighter compared to the Motorola-made Nexus 6 that weighs in at 184 grams despite having a bigger battery of 3,450 mAh and a heavier body. The Nexus 6P will be powered by version 2.1 of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with dual front-ported speakers and a USB Type-C charger and data port. The device will also pack a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 4.
The metal body would most likely mean that it will not support wireless charging, but Android news website Android Police believes that Qualcomm's quick charging technology will be included as a feature.
Other slides focus on the device's fingerprint scanner and camera, with the slide on the camera claiming that the Nexus 6P allows for more light to come in when taking pictures, which could mean a low F-stop value.
There are also some slides that include additional information on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the Now on Tap feature, which will provide users with the ability to pull up relevant information while staying on their current tasks, and the Doze feature, which automatically places the device in a sleep state when it is at rest by shutting down apps that are running in the background.
Other confirmations include the capacities of the Nexus 6P of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with no expandable memory card slot, and the available colors of aluminium, graphite, frost and gold, with the latter being initially available only in Japan.
An angled picture of the back of the Nexus 6P also reveals that the bump of the raised camera is less than initially thought, which is a design element that has been criticized by many users.
After all the information contained in the document, however, there is still no mention on the final price of the Nexus 6P. With Google's Sep. 29 event just around the corner, it seems that users will have to wait for the company's official unveiling of the Nexus 6P to know about that final detail.
