International tech giant Google is slated to unveil its newest Nexus smartphones: the Huawei-built Nexus 6P and its smaller sibling, the Nexus 5X from LG. The latest leaked images hint that the 6P variant may come in four color options while the 5X model may sport three.
Based on leaked images showing dummies of the rumored devices, the Nexus 6P will come in colors White, Black, Aluminum and Gold. The Nexus 5X, on the other hand, will arrive in three colors: White, Black and Ice Blue.
Interestingly, many are intrigued by the Ice Blue color option of the 5X variant. While rumors indicate that this will appear as light blue, leaked images show that the color looks almost green.
It is also worth noting that the recently published sneak-peek images reveal the laser autofocus window of the Nexus 5X and suggest that the variant will be equipped with stereo front-facing speakers.
In terms of features, the following details are what we know so far about the Nexus 5X version, based on rumors that surfaced in the past: a Snapdragon 808 chip, 5.2-inch screen, and weight of 177 grams, as earlier leaked by Amazon. It is also not clear if it houses a 2GB or 3GB RAM. A Geekbench benchmark test and Amazon earlier listed a 2GB RAM for the Nexus 5X.
Meanwhile, for the Nexus 6P, it is purported that the gold variant may be exclusive to a few markets. In addition, a possibility exists that more colors might be introduced to customers during the big launch event.
A report speculates that all four 6P variants will be the same plain black model as the case has been in the previous Nexus phones.
Additionally, Google is expected to offer the smartphones in both 32GB and 64GB internal storage options. It will reportedly be sold unlocked via the Google Play Store.
Tech Times earlier reported that at Google's major event next week, the tech giant will also introduce its updated Chromecast. Also, it is rumored that Google may also talk about YouTube Red, the speculated new name for YouTube Music Key.
