Halo fans are almost done waiting for the Halo: The Master Chief Collection updates, as the producing company says it is "nearing completion."
The team behind Halo stated that the game will get more than a couple of fixes. Important ones will include a better ranking system, a way of penalizing quitters and community items. The modifications follow the avalanche of feedback the game's fans sent through social media. Twitter, Reddit and Waypoint were a couple of the platforms used to send the message to the developers.
343 Industries gave a few pointers about the improvements.
Team Doubles sees a few alterations. First Slot: Slayer BRs based on Halo editions 2 through 4. Second Slot: Objective comes from Halo 2- 4, as well. Third Slot: Slayer BRs based on Halo 2 Classic, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Other overhauls to Team Doubles: team Slayer SMG is removed on Lockdown (H2A), team slayer SMG disappears on Warlord (H2A) and Warlock CTF (H2) enters the scene.
Team Action Snack has the maximum number of players increased to eight, instead of four. This means that a full lobby can just come together and enjoy the random matches. Team Splasers and Shotty Snipers will be added on some maps, as well a Team Rocket Lasers. Special attention from the developers goes into creating more quirky game modes.
Team Hardcore. Halo 3 gets better map variety. Producers claim that a lot of different map/game combos will be available, so players can get more of Amp Team Slayer, Onslaught CTF or Guardian Ball.
Halo 4 adds Ricochet on three maps, Haven, Skyline and Pitfall, respectively.
Halo 2 Anniversary players reported that certain things occurred too often, and 343 Industries tweaked that. Therefore, Stonetown 1-Flag CTF and Remnant 1-Flag CTF will appear a bit less frequent.
Infection remains popular in the Halo universe and is promised to stay. Until the next playlist update, the team at 343 adds. This update edition for Infection includes removing Braaains on Avalanche and on Standoff.
Halo 3 players complained that they got enough King of the Hill gameplay and are pleading for map variety. Therefore, the developers reduced appearances on maps such as Last Resort KotH, Ghost Town KotH, Construct KotH, Boundless Team Slayer and more.
Halo 2 Classic gets more variety through a reduced appearance on some maps, removal of SMG-start Team Slayer on Colossus and more.
Team Snipers fans have requested more maps where their scopes can shine, so here they are: Stonetown (H2A), Remnant (H2A), Bloodline (H2A), Isolation (H3), Blackout (H3), Rat's Nest (H3), Exile (H4), Solace (H4).
The last edition of the game, Halo 5: Guardians will be released on Oct. 27 for Xbox One.
