We know that Halo 5: Guardians will include aspects of Spartan Locke and the Master Chief. We also know that both men will have their own team. What we didn't know is that throughout the whole campaign, no one will be alone.
It means that 343 Industries will focus a lot on the co-op aspect of the game, hence the reason why there will be a team of three extra individuals along with the main characters. We've seen this in the gameplay reveal back at E3 2015.
Even when the player is playing co-op with a friend, the A.I. characters will be there as well. We also understand that in co-op, one player will be Spartan Locke and the other will be the Master Chief.
It raises the question of whether the tension of being alone and vulnerable would be lost in Halo 5. This is one of the things that made the Halo games into what they are today, never being worried about the well being of team members.
As for the length of the game, it will be twice the length of Halo 4, and the levels will be four times the size of Halo 4. That's quite massive, but we have to wonder if it is necessary for levels to be so large, and whether or not the team will take advantage of them.
In Halo 4, some levels were too large, but with the addition of a team, the large level idea in Halo 5 could turn out to be a win.
Let's talk some more about the team play in the game.
Players will have the option to order their team around. The orders are all simple but effective nonetheless. Players can stay on the high ground with a sniper rifle providing support and command team members on the lower level.
We doubt players will be able to go through a whole level in commander mode alone, especially since the commands are simple.
