New Photos Released From The First Episode Of New Season of Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Yesterday, Marvel and ABC gave us our first sneak peek of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D's Skye, aka Daisy Johnson, aka Quake in her new costume.

Today, new photos released from the first episode of the new season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., offering hints about how the season's story starts.

These photos offer up a lot of information about what we can expect when the series returns. These images show a new group also hunting down Inhumans, as well as some settings we'll see in that first episode.

Here's the official synopsis for the new episode, titled "Laws of Nature":

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for an action-packed third season on Tuesday, Sept. 29 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) on the ABC Television Network, with Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) leading the charge as S.H.I.E.L.D. searches the world for more powered people in the aftermath of their epic battle with Jiaying and her army of Inhumans. However, Coulson and the team soon find out that they are not the only group looking for these new Inhumans."

The episode also features the team's discovery of a new Inhuman.

Earlier this year, Marvel teased that this season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will cover The Secret Warriors story from the comics: that plot features Quake leading her own team of others with superpowers.

Last week, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeff Bell teased that the major plot point of this season are the Inhumans.

"These 'aliens' are popping up all over the world, without anybody to guide them, so there's a lot of fear and paranoia," said Bell to TVLine. "They really are against us, which forces our team to come together, whereas we were splintered last season."

The new season of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres on ABC on Sept. 29.
