Jack The Ripper Comes To 'Assassin's Creed Syndicate' DLC

Ubisoft has announced that history's most famous serial killer is coming to Assassin's Creed.

One of the DLC packs for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate mentions that Jack the Ripper is an add-on story campaign that's set twenty years after the events of the main game. Set in Whitechapel in 1888, you'll get to witness firsthand the terror felt by all of London as Jack begins his series of mutilations and murders.

But while it's inspired by real-life history, you can expect Assassin's Creed Syndicate to deviate into fictional territory by injecting protagonist Jacob Frye into the hunt for Jack. The game will have you team up with Scotland Yard's Inspector Frederick Abberline — the real man who lead the authorities' efforts to apprehend Jack the Ripper.

Jack the Ripper will be part of the Syndicate Season Pass, which also includes The Last Maharaja, a story campaign about Duleep Singh's efforts to reclaim his birthright as the Maharaja; A Long Night, a fast-paced mission in which Jacob has to find a friend and bring him to safety; a gameplay pack called Streets of London, that adds more missions, weapons, gear and clothes; the Steampunk Pack which lets you gear-up and arm yourself with steampunk-inspired loot; the Victorian Legends Pack, which gives you new loot inspired by famous Victorian-era novels; and an exclusive, permanent XP boost.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate comes to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23, 2015. The Season Pass is expected to cost around $30.
