It started out simple enough with Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer dropping back from the 20-yard line and throwing a bullet over the middle of the Carolina Panthers' defense. The pass attempt looks like it's picked off by a Panthers defensive back, but the ball comes loose as he hits the ground.
That starts an all-out fumble frenzy with nearly all 22 players on the field touching the ball, but failing to pick up the football. The nine-minute-plus fumble glitch in Madden NFL 16 was captured by the Aimless Adventure Podcast over the weekend and uploaded on YouTube for thousands of viewers to watch.
Less than a minute into this footage, the donnybrook resembles more of the WWE's Royal Rumble than an NFL football pile with more and more players jumping into the skirmish to no avail, as none of them can get a handle on the ball.
It's one thing to watch this calamity play out...but imagine playing the game, when this fumble glitch takes place? While it's pretty funny and amusing to see, it had to have been frustrating for the gamer who was actually playing when this happened.
It has to be considering, it's frustrating while even watching because not one of the 22 players on the field can secure the football. Seconds turn into minutes...three minutes...five minutes and well past the nine-minute mark.
The play finally is whistled dead, seemingly with the Panthers in possession of the football. What a crazy glitch.
