'LEGO Dimensions' Voice Cast Includes Michael J. Fox, Gary Oldman, Chris Pratt And More

When LEGO Dimensions drops at the end of September, gamers are in for a real treat. In addition to the 14-level main game, which introduces Lego to the toys-to-life game genre, many of the 14 worlds and their characters are getting add-on levels, free-roam hub worlds and extra playable characters to collect.

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive has revealed the voice cast that appears in the game, and it's an impressive, all-star list of recognizable and fan-favorite names. For franchises like The Lego Movie, Back to the Future, Doctor Who, DC Comics and many more, the original actors were invited to reprise their roles in LEGO Dimensions. Here's a closer look at the list.

For Back to the Future, Christopher Lloyd returns as Doc Brown and Michael J. Fox is back as Marty McFly. Fox is a huge get for the game given the actor's physical condition; he hasn't reprised his most famous role since Back to the Future Part III 25 years ago.

Another big announcement made today is that LEGO Dimensions' big villain, Lord Vortech, is being voiced by none other than Gary Oldman. The game's robotic guide, X-PO, is voiced by Joel McHale.

The LEGO Movie stars Chris Pratt (Emmet), Elizabeth Banks (Wyldstyle), Alison Brie (UniKitty) and Charlie Day (Benny) are all back, and Pratt also lends his voice to Owen Grady from Jurassic World. He's joined by Bryce Dallas Howard as Clare Dearing, Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins as brothers Zach and Gray, and Irrfan Khan as park owner Simon Masrani.

In the Portal level and add-on pack, fans will be thrilled to hear that Ellen McLain is back as the twisted A.I., GLaDOS. She's joined by J.K. Simmons as Cave Johnson and Stephen Merchant as dimwitted robot Wheatley. DC Comics provides Batman's most popular voice actor, Troy Baker, LEGO Batman's Travis Willingham as Superman, Laura Bailey as Wonder Woman and Tara Strong as the quintessential Harley Quinn.

Doctor Who stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman appear as the Doctor and Clara Oswald, joined by Michelle Gomez as Missy, aka the Master. Warner said that "many other original actors from [Doctor Who] have also returned," but the company stopped short of saying which actors (former Doctors who opt not to return — or are deceased — will be present thanks to archival audio clips).

From Ghostbusters, there's Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson. Simpsons cast members Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Hank Azaria and Harry Shearer are in. With Sir Ian McKellan unavailable to return as Gandalf the Grey for Lord of the Rings, the studio hired prolific voice actor Tom Kane in his stead. However, Sean Astin turns up as Samwise Gamgee. As for Scooby-Doo, Matthew Lillard appears as Shaggy, and Scooby is handled by his longtime voice actor, Frank Welker.

LEGO Dimensions will be in stores on September 29 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
