LEGO Dimensions has posted its latest gameplay video, this one emphasizing the variety of family-friendly gameplay it offers. Across fourteen media franchises – including Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, The Simpsons, Doctor Who and many more – there appears to be something for everyone.
The latest video, like the Joel McHale spot and the Christopher Lloyd trailer before it, features someone famous receiving a mysterious package on their doorstep that, once assembled, becomes the LEGO Dimensions portal. But this time, the recipient is a bit of a twist.
It's Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, in all their cartoon glory. Scooby-Doo is another franchise that's part of the game, with both Scooby and Shaggy being playable Minifigure characters who can be zapped into the game via the portal device.
Included in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack is the fourteen-level main game, with each level set in a different franchise universe. One of those is, of course, Scooby-Doo. While there's no Level Pack with extra Scooby-Doo levels for gamers, the Team Pack that includes both characters will also unlock a themed Adventure World. There, you'll be able to explore, free-roam style, a huge environment packed with mini games, races, puzzles and more. Each franchise has its own similar Adventure World, unlocked by any playable character from that franchise.
Enjoy the new trailer.
LEGO Dimensions launches on September 27, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U. The Scooby-Doo Team Pack, which comes with two characters, a drivable Mystery Machine van and a Scooby Snack, will also be available on September 27.
