The Xbox One Forza Motorsport 6 console is a limited-edition console from Microsoft that bears a unique racing design.
Microsoft is releasing the Forza-inspired console in conjunction with the exclusive release of the Forza Motorsport 6 gaming title. Both the console and game are scheduled to release on Sept. 15.
Looking closer at the console, one would notice that it has been designed with a dual tone: one side has a smooth matte finish while the other has a sleek glossy finish. It even bears the iconic racing stripes that the Ford GT has been known for.
The dark blue matte stripes are seen starting from the back part and wrapping around the front of the console before finally swooping over the disc drive. There is even the Forza Motorsport logo nestled on top of the console.
"The really cool thing about this is that super high gloss. It has this really cool kinetic effect appearing and disappearing as the light hits it just like sunlight hangs off the body of a Ford GT," said the Xbox team.
The controller is designed with the same blue color scheme found on the console. It also bears the same racing stripes, which run down the center, and the ubiquitous Forza logo. The face buttons are in blue and black hues as a way to keep everything looking sleek, while the button colors are placed at the center.
Perhaps the most exciting thing about the controller is how the grips are designed with a narrowed finish, giving the same impression that one gets when holding a steering wheel.
"And the triggers are titanium colored with a lovely satin finish. These are inspired by the titanium finish in the headlights of the new Ford GT," Xbox added.
Other features of the new console include an in-built 3.5 millimeter stereo jack, fine-tune bumper buttons, wireless update capability, and access to more headset audio settings.
The console will come bundled with a download code for the full game of Forza Motorsport 6, the Forza Motorsport 6 10-year anniversary car pack, Xbox One mono headset and HDMI cable.
The Xbox One Forza Motorsport 6 console will also be releasing in Europe on Sept. 18, three days following its U.S. release. Customers can start preordering on Amazon.com.
