Listings on an import and export database tracker of India called Zauba point out that the Huawei Nexus 6 will sport a 5.5-inch display.
Google normally launches a new Nexus smartphone each year. However, the company is rumored to unveil two Nexus smartphones this year: one made by LG dubbed Nexus 5 (2015) and the other by Huawei called Nexus 6 (2015).
It will be the first time that Google will work with Chinese manufacturer Huawei to develop a Nexus phone. Previous rumors have noted that the Huawei Nexus device is code-named Angler and it will come with a 5.7-inch display. However, the Zauba listing (via PhoneArena) suggests that the handset will pack in a 5.5-inch screen.
The Nexus 6 that was launched in October 2014 had a massive 5.96-inch AMOLED display with 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution. The Nexus 6 (2015) will have 5.5-inch display and is expected to pack in the same pixels resolution as its predecessor.
The listing highlights that the Huawei phone will have 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB on-board storage and come with LTE connectivity. Each unit has been valued at $645 but the actual cost of the handset may vary when it is released. However, these are prototypes and its possible the actual device may have some slight changes.
Leaked images of the upcoming Huawei handset's case have also emerged online. If the leaked images of the case are to be believed then the Nexus 6 (2015) will have a bump at the upper back portion of the handset to accommodate a camera and a flash.
While a protruded camera may not be favored by many smartphone lovers, a 21 MP camera may help the company compensate for the ugly bump and attract customers.
While more specs of the Nexus 6 (2015) are not detailed in Zauba listings, prior rumors indicate that the handset may come running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and will include a 3,500 mAh battery.
Normally, Nexus devices are the first to come running the latest Android operating system. It is highly likely that both the Nexus 6 (2015) and the Nexus 5 (2015) will have the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system preinstalled.
An exact launch date for the two Nexus devices has not been confirmed by Google, but there's speculation the company will showcase both the Nexus 5 (2015) and the Nexus 6 (2015) at an event on Sept. 29.
