When you're making a new Ghostbusters flick, who you gonna call? Why, Bill Murray, of course. The actor/Wes Anderson veteran has confirmed that he will be making a guest appearance in the latest installment of the franchise.
Murray, who played Dr. Peter Venkman in the first two Ghostbusters films, will make an appearance in the lastest addition to the ouevre, which will be headed by an all-female cast, including Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Melissa McCarthy (Spy, The Heat), Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon (both currently on SNL).
The announcement is somewhat of a surprise: in the past, Murray had been resistant to donning his old proton pack for another Ghostbusters movie. In an interview with David Letterman back in 2011, he referred to the thought as a "nightmare."
As of now, nothing is known about the plot of the film. Ghosbusters III is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22, 2016,
