Young Oregon Fan Devastated About Marcus Mariota Leaving, Gets Recorded Message From Quarterback

The selection of Marcus Mariota by the Tennessee Titans as the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft was received well by most Oregon Ducks fans. Not an impressionable toddler, though.

When three-year-old Clive Johnson was informed by his dad over a bowl of cereal that Mariota wouldn't be returning to Oregon, the adorable child broke down in tears.

"I want Marcus Mariota to come back," wept Clive, wiping away his tears in a YouTube clip called "Missing Mariota."

The rising number of views got the story of Mariota's biggest little fan back to the Titans rookie quarterback himself. Although Mariota can't return to Oregon, he could do the next best thing... make little Clive a Titans fan.

Living up to his nice-guy reputation, Mariota shot a video message of himself for Clive, which was published on the Titans website.

"Hey Clive, Marcus Mariota here," he said. "Sorry I won't be headed back to Oregon. I know coach [Mark] Helfrich and the rest of the Ducks will do a fine job — don't worry about that. We want to start you off with a Tennessee Titans jersey. Hopefully you can now support the Ducks and the Titans and become a new fan. Go Ducks, go Titans and we'll see you soon."

Marcus — Clive is likely to not only be a new Titans fan, but a fan of yours for life.
