September is going to be a great month for avid video game players as their destiny is about to change.
Destiny: The Taken King is introducing some exciting changes when it comes to its game leveling system and one thing is for sure, all your light level days are over.
Fans of the game can expect that in September they can earn Experience Points through the following ways: completing missions or surrendering bounties leading to XPs being directed into your level advancement from level one to new levels reaching up to level 40. Players can also expect to earn XPs from defeating monsters wreaking havoc.
Other exciting things to take note of in the game are the continued increase in power of your game character via weapons and armor and the loot system now being more attentive to the loot that players have already received after determining an appropriate drop for the loot. Bungie is also adding new perks, armor and weapons to the game.
Luke Smith, creative director of the game, said: "The conflation of gear and character level led to this place where your identity was determined by things outside of your control."
Another Destiny: The Taken King update 2.0 is reported to have fixed the problems with the unbalanced power of the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher as well as issues with other weapons commonly used by players in combat.
"There are definitely some weapons that you are going to find better versions of—there's going to be something that replaces that sniper rifle that you love," Smith said.
Fans might also notice that voice actor Nolan North has taken over Peter Dinklage's role of the robot guide and narrator, Ghost.
With the revamps Bungie is making for the game, it seems like it has realized that its fans are ready for some new toys and challenges that will make gamers feel like warrior kings while playing Destiny: The Taken King.
