Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase 3 - What We Want To See But Might Never

Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is well underway, but after Thanos, what can Marvel Studios add to phase 3 that will have casual moviegoers and die-hard fans coming back for more.

It's going to be difficult for Marvel Studios to truly stretch its legs unless Kevin Feige finds a way to get his hands on characters that are owned by other studios. If he can't, then we suspect the studio might have no choice but to cross over with some Disney properties or with Guardians of the Galaxy.

KANG THE CONQUEROR

Kang is viewed as one of the best villains to face the Avengers. He's a time traveler, so he knows the weaknesses of the team, their strengths, and everything that is capable of turning them upside down. The man is an immense warlord who traveled from the future to conquer Earth, and he will stop at nothing to get the job done.

While it would be great to have Kang on board, this might not happen since he is tied to the Fantastic Four.

THE SKRULLS

The Skrulls are the most famous alien race in the Marvel Universe. They are all shapeshifters and at one point they kidnapped all the top politicians and heroes around the world and replaced them with their own. This is how they nearly took over Earth.

Unfortunately, the Skrulls were never mentioned in Guardians of the Galaxy, a movie that is perfect to bring them into play by either someone talking about them, or even with a single dead Skrull remaining.

NAMOR AND ATLANTIS

Namor is the first mutant character to come out of Marvel. Born from a human and a citizen of Atlantis, Namor possesses the powers of speed and strength and the ability to do wonders in water. He can also survive under the sea for as long as he wants.

The character can also fly, although no one else in Atlantis can do this. How is it possible for Namor to fly? Some say the combination of both human and Atlantis DNA made it possible.

The chance of Namor popping up in phase 4 is very high since Universal and Legendary Pictures no longer own the rights to the character. It has been reverted back to Marvel Studios, so we can bet that Namor's appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could well be underway.

Some might say Namor is too similar to Aquaman, but you know what? It's the other way around. Namor debuted in 1939, while Aquaman debuted in 1941. Aquaman, however, turned out to be more popular.
