Chris Hemsworth Will Play Receptionist In Female-Led 'Ghostbusters': #whoyougonnacall

In the original Ghostbusters movie, the four boys were kept together by their smart-talking receptionist, Janine, who was the one to answer all the calls for help from citizens who needed help from poltergeists, ghosts and other things that go bump in the night. Janine was played by actress, Annie Potts.

Paul Feig dropped the bombshell on this big casting news by announcing to the Twitterverse that Thor will be taking over the role of the feisty, bespectacled receptionist - albeit in a gender-twist that we think is fun and will bring a fresh dynamic to the team.

Chris will be joining actresses Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the all-new, all-female ghostbusting group.

No word yet if his storyline, just like the original Janine, will have him crushing on one of the Ghostbusters. But we already know he has great chemistry with KcNinnon with whom he completely owned his Saturday Night Live hosting gig this year and, according to reports, made it "one of the best episodes of the entire season."

Chris' reps have yet to confirm the announcement, but we think the casting choice makes perfect sense. As the currently reigning "Sexiest Man Alive," who wouldn't want to hear his voice on the other end of the line when you call for help?

Currently, the Age of Ultron actor is shooting The Huntsman, a follow-up to Snow White and The Hunstman.

Now we wonder if Chris will get to don a bright pink jumpsuit, just like the action figure version of Janine the receptionist when the all-female Ghostbusters comes out in theatres in July 2016.
