Chris Pratt lately revealed his insecurities about his yo-yo dieting for roles in an interview with Men's Health U.K., but the Jurassic World actor also confesses that before he was Star Lord or Ranger Andy, or a Navy SEAL in Zero Dark Thirty, he was a college dropout who had to support himself any way he could.
Somehow, he ended up making $40 per performance as a stripper, and even danced at the birthday party of his friend's grandmother! He recalls his work at that particular time in his life as being a "cheap Magic Mike."
But Pratt isn't the only one who had to do some pretty odd things pre-celebrity. Here are some other Hollywood stars that had to make ends meet with unconventional jobs before they were famous.
Victoria Beckham
Before she was Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham had a very un-posh job of portraying a sperm on roller skates for a BBC sex education show called, Body Matters.
Tom Cruise
Imagine getting your morning news from paperboy, Tom Cruise, who delivered newspapers for the Louisville Courier-Journal. If he hadn't converted to Scientology, he might have also become a priest after attending a Franciscan seminary.
Jon Hamm
The Mad Men star worked as a set-dresser for porn films. Saying that the gig involved a lot of moving cameras and ashtrays around and making sure there were no continuity issues in the shots.
Helen Mirren
Tony Award winner, Helen Mirren was a promoter for an amusement park in Southend on the Sea. She also was one of the stars involved in one of the biggest porn films of all time, Caligula, where she portrayed the Emperor's wife.
Angelina Jolie
Former Goth Girl, Angelina Jolie says that she once applied to become a Funeral Director and even completed an online certification degree in the subject.
Brad Pitt
Meanwhile, Jolie's hubby, Brad Pitt's first Hollywood gig was as a white chicken for the restaurant, El Pollo Loco. He also chauffeured limos for a Strip-a-Gram service.
Channing Tatum
And we can't include the words Magic and Mike in the headline without mentioning the original Magic Mike. Channing Tatum actually was a real stripper for eight months when he was 19.
