It seems like it was only yesterday that fans were anxiously waiting for the fifth season of The Walking Dead to restart - now, season five is moving along, and the finale is looming in the distance (it's only a month away). From a story standpoint, season five has had a breakneck pace, and there's no signs of anything slowing down.
However, you wouldn't know that from the show's newest teaser: this week's episode, "Forget," is probably going to be a standard, action-packed episode - but, going by the trailer, it almost looks like the survivors will get a chance to relax for once:
Alright, so maybe a wall covered in guns and the promise of hunting boars doesn't exactly equal relaxing, but sharing stories about old habits, cell phones and cooking meat certainly does.
Considering all of the other teaser trailers up until this point, something that shows off the survivor's humanity is actually a nice change of pace. Until now, it seemed like every trailer was determined to be more dramatic and dark than the last: here, we actually get a glimpse of what the survivors were like before everything went to hell. It's one of the things that makes the show so interesting to watch, and it's nice to see the trailers do it justice for a change.
That being said, there's likely to be more than a few zombies and at least some action during this week's episode - it just wouldn't be The Walking Dead without it.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on AMC.
