Google Pixel 9 Pro XL: New Specs Leak Ahead of Event

The latest from XDA Developers shared a leak behind the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, showing off the specs of the device based on its hands-on analysis of the flagship smartphone. Perhaps the first thing to notice from the device is its new flat-edged and rounded body, moving away from the curves, but there are massive changes to its storage and memory.

First off, there is the 256GB storage capacity from Google offered for the Pixel 9 Pro XL, the first since its 128 GB variants were released before.

Additionally, leaks behind its memory claimed that Google brought four more gigabytes to the RAM, now offering 16 GB.

Pixel 9 Pro XL Uses The Latest Tech from Samsung

It was also revealed in the latest leak that Google is using Samsung's Exynos 5400 modem for the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and this is the latest 3GPP Release 17 standard. It is capable of maximum data throughput of 14.79 Gbps and is a 4nm process that is similar to the Tensor G4 chipset.

One of the most iconic features of this Samsung modem is its satellite support, which suggests the satellite network capabilities for the flagship smartphone.

Google Pixel 9 Series: Rumors and Speculations

Google Pixel 9 is the next in line from the company's flagship Android smartphone lineup, centering on its annual releases of the device which has grown this year. Initially, it was revealed to the world how the new smartphones would look like from leaked renders, with the recent teaser from Google confirming that its releases would feature flat and rounded edges.

Next up, one of the most important updates for this new release from Google would be its dedicated chipset, with Pixel 9 to get the Tensor G4 SoC. However, early leaks of the Tensor G4 regarded that its benchmark test only delivered slight improvements compared to the old Tensor G3 from the Pixel 8 series, but was said to feature a new ARMv9-A core.

Last week, Google brought a massive teaser on the Pixel 9 series which confirmed some of the speculations behind the device, including Pixel Fold 2 now known as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It is only weeks away from the upcoming Made by Google event which will finally reveal the Pixel 9 series, with leaks behind the Pixel 9 Pro XL revealing massive changes to the device.
