Nothing's Phone 2 is set to release this year in the United States, making the country the company's number one priority in terms of markets. Phone 2 is expected to be more premium than the first-generation as it will offer specs that can compete with other devices.

US Release
Startup company 'Nothing' is taking risks to be the next big thing against its competitors in the market. Although several consumers are worrying about purchasing a phone from an obscure company, this might be changed as it presents eye-catching and unique offerings.
Chief Executive Officer Carl Pei confirmed that the upcoming Phone 2 will launch in the United States later this year. He stated during his interview with Inverse that the device will be more premium, continuing the previous generation's impressive debut.
Phone 2 was described as an upgrade from Phone 1, yet he clarified that it will not be considered a flagship device. However, Pei stated that this will be a better option compared to mid-range devices meant for developing markets.
He avoids using the term flagship as it would mean that the Phone 1 was not as good as the company's newest offering. By looking at the company's portfolio of smartphones, Engadget reported that Pie believes that the specs will still be impressive and Phone 2 will just be a more premium step up.
The United States will be the main priority of Nothing as its target market. "We couldn't do it earlier because we were only in our second year and our hands were tied building the team as we were building the products. Now, as we're on a more solid footing, we can take a step forward," he added.

Nothing's Growth
The CEO also claimed that the company managed to obtain ten times the revenue in 2022 than what they obtained in 2021. As per Gizmodo's report, this makes sense as Nothing released a pair of economical earbuds in 2021, following the release of an Android device in Summer last year.
Pei said, "We did more than $200 million last year; the first year we did something like $24 million. We're growing quite quickly. We shipped over a million products already." Through this, the company realized that there is a demand for its products, meaning that Nothing has to double its resources.
Nothing then grew from 200 people in 2021 to 400 people today. This will give the company more brains and ideas to work on several departments like carrier certification, quality assurance, marketing, retail logistics, etc.
XDA-Developers reported that the transparent Phone 1 was launched in the United States as a mid-range phone, six months after its global release.
But it might change for the Phone 2's release since Pei stated that the US will be their main priority, especially since one-third of its earbuds sales came from the country. "By not launching our phone in the U.S., we're leaving potentially a third of the volume on the table." the CEO added.
