New Features Coming

One of the best features of the update is the Google Password Manager on mobile and PC, which got an update. The update now allows users to add notes to password extruders, which will come in handy for those with multiple accounts on some services.

The Google Wallet can also get a visual upgrade on its mobile web version. However, there are no details yet on this one, but some guess it has something to do with the built-in browser.

Another feature that got an update is the Android QR scanner. One, users can now re-scan photos with QR codes that will allow them to access the QR code content later on. Next, I can now detect Matter-enabled smart home devices for a quick setup. And finally, the QR scanner now supports the UPI code that is mainly used by payment systems in India.

The Play Store also got updated with Play Protect, which can now detect malicious apple. Moreover, the Play Store has been optimized for faster and uninterrupted downloads.

It is also hinted that the Play Games app will undergo an overhaul and receive PC compatibility. Currently, the update has more use cases for the Play Games profile, which means that more games and apple will have it as a login option to save progress.

Better Android for Users

This update is expected to make the Android experience better for users. People who store a lot of passwords on their devices will also like the update since the Google Password Manager is one of the best options for these users.

In short, the new update for Google Play Services means that Android users will have a better experience. Also, the update means that the Android platform will be more of a uniform software for all users across all devices.

It can be recalled that Google just recently rolled out its new security updates in the first week of 2023. There were 20 issues resolved in the Android 13 January patch. There was also a Pixel update. Moreover, the Samsung January 2023 security update was also rolled out.

These updates are meant to address critical security flaws in the smartphone mobile operating system.

There are a lot of Android updates that tech experts are keeping their eyes on. The updates that are now rolled out will surely be a good start to a new year. By the looks of it, it seems that Google is determined to make Android a good experience for users and developers. Both parties will greatly benefit from these updates.
