"Tune in to AI@ '22 to hear from Google's AI and Research teams about our latest work in the fields of robotics, natural language understanding, accessibility, healthcare, and creativity," said the search engine giant via its official YouTube post.

This just shows that Google wants to further delve deeper into the artificial intelligence industry.

While its other AI innovations focus on user experience and the environment, one of these is expected to improve maternal health.

To make this possible, the tech company decided to partner with Northwestern Medicine, a non-profit healthcare service provider in Chicago.

Google said that its new partner would help them develop and test the new AI ultrasound gadget so that it would be more generalizable in different levels of technology and experience.

The search engine giant added that they hope this health innovation can allow people receive timely care in the correct settings.

Why Google's AI Ultrasound is Beneficial

Google explained that the new AI ultrasound could improve people's maternal health by determining critical details of pregnancies.

The company added that it could also detect pregnancy issues early, which helps midwives and nurses in areas where there are no sonographers.

Greg Corrado, Google's Head of Health AI, said that more than half of all pregnant women in developing countries don't have enough ultrasounds.

In his official blog post, he explained that Google's expertise in machine learning could fix this problem. He added that using artificial intelligence can offer accurate evaluations of fetal and maternal health risks.

For the past years, various organizations and independent experts have been trying to use AI to make people's lives easier.

Previously, the newly developed AI model CODE-AE was confirmed to determine human response to drug compounds.

Aside from this, AI and 3D X-rays are used by Australian researchers to stop wildlife crime.
