LG unveils its first-ever curved gaming OLED display during the IFA Berlin 2022 tech conference as it showcases its all-new UltraGear monitor offering.
The South Korean tech giant gave specific specification of the upcoming gaming monitor to give us a glimpse of what to expect.
LG's First Curved Gaming OLED Display
According to a recent report by Engadget, LG presented its newest premium gaming monitor, which will be hitting the shelves soon.
While LG already offers several gaming monitors, it has yet to provide a curved OLED option until today.
The South Korean-based firm introduced its newest UltraGear monitor during the IFA Berlin 2022. To be more precise, the all-new LG monitor flaunts a huge TV-sized 45-inch curved display.
The new OLED monitor goes under the gaming branding of the Korean tech giant, which goes by the name UltraGear.
The online news outlet further notes that the first curved OLED display of the South Korean tech giant is also its earliest OLED monitor of LG, which supports an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate.
LG UltraGear 45GR95QE Curved OLED: What to Expect
Now that we know that it flaunts an exceptionally buttery smooth refresh rate, what other distinctions does this new OLED curved display offer?
LG says that the new UltraGear OLED features an 800R curvature. And on top of that, the 45-inch display supports an impressive resolution of 3,440x1,440 pixels.
LG's First Curved OLED vs. Corsair Xeneon Flex
With the 240Hz refresh rate, the new monitor from the Korean tech behemoth sounds quite familiar, according to a recent report by CNET.
And it is because the gaming hardware firm Corsair just launched its all-new Xeneon Flex, which carries pretty much the same specs as the new UltraGear 45GR95QE OLED display.
It flaunts up to 240Hz of refresh rate and the bendable curved OLED also boasts up to 3,440x1,440 pixels. And closely similar to the new UltraGear display, it is massive at 45 inches.
If you are wondering, it is worth noting that the upcoming Xeneon Flex of Corsair was made possible in partnership with none other than LG.
While LG showcased its new curved OLED during the IFA Berlin 2022, Corsair took the chance to unveil its bendable display at the packed Gamescom video show in Germany.
However, there is one notable feature that sets the Corsair gaming display from the new curved UltraGear OLED. And that is its bendable feature.
It allows its users to switch from flat to curved display by simply bending the screen to their desired form.
