LG's rollable phone finally sees the light of day in a new hands-on YouTube video, which appears to be quite difficult to fake.
It gives us a glimpse of what the fancy mobile device would be like if the South Korean tech giant, LG, continued with its smartphone division.
LG's Rollable Phone
As per the latest news story by The Verge, the fancy rollable phone from the South Korea-based former phone maker, LG, shows up in a video on the video-sharing platform, YouTube.
The latest YouTube video showcasing the LG rollable mobile device should prove that the renowned tech giant actually worked on its rollable phone as it claims.
The online tech news outlet notes in its report that LG said that it has already built a rollable phone even before it bid farewell to its smartphone division.
So, even if LG has no plans to sell its rollable device to the general market, it seems like there are clandestinely kept copies of it.
Not to mention that some rumors even suggest that the South Korean tech giant apparently sold its rollable phones to its employees in the Asian country before closing down its smartphone business.
But despite the disclosure from LG and those rumors, the public never actually to see how the innovative rollable phone works.
Well, there's sort of a preview of what the first-ever rollable phone would be like during the Consumer Electric Show back in 2021. LG briefly teased the fancy device in its teaser, but the rolling mechanism look-like it is made out of CG.
The extended display rolls out so smoothly that it appears to be far from what it would look like in real life, according to the recent report from CNET. Nevertheless, it clearly gave us an idea of what LG was trying to do back then.

This time, the video gives us a look at the fancy smartphone with all the amateurish glare and shaky hands.
The YouTube clip shows how the screen rolls to extend it with a single tap of a button. The video also pans the camera to the rear side of the rollable phone, which seems to sport up to a total of three snappers.
It is unclear if the LG phone on the video is working completely or if it only goes on to showcase how its rollable mechanism works.
