Elon Musk Says Tesla EVs Could Also Connect to SpaceX Starlink New Satellite Internet
Shortly after the joint event of mega-billionaire entrepreneur Musk and T-Mobile Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mike Sievert concluded their event at the SpaceX facility in Texas, the Tesla boss now says it also works with its EVs.
As per the latest news report from CNBC, Musk confirmed that the second iteration of the Starlink internet satellites would allow T-Mobile phones to connect directly.
The Tesla CEO teased that the new service would enter its beta phase once SpaceX has launched the second-generation Starlink satellites to orbit.
According to a recent report by The Verge, the SpaceX and Tesla founder might have recently concluded his joint event with the T-Mobile boss, but he is not done with answering queries on Twitter.
The official Twitter account of Musk responded to one of the questions regarding the new SpaceX Starlink satellite service.
A user, who goes by the name Tesla Owners Silicon Valley, asked the wealthiest man in the world if the EV maker would also benefit from the new Starlink internet satellites with its premium connectivity option.
The mega-billionaire straight up answered the question in his recent tweet, confirming that the new version of Starlink internet would also work with the all-electric cars of Tesla.
The Verge notes in the same report that Tesla EVs could currently only connect to the LTE network of AT&T.
But it looks like that once the new version of Starlink satellites launches, Tesla cars could also enjoy the new service, along with T-Mobile phone users.
