The Twitter app suddenly started making a chirping sound on both its iOS and Android mobile apps when users refreshed their feeds.
The social media giant Twitter has been trying to improve its overall user experience in the past few months. It is working on a couple of new features up its sleeves and a few refinements on its app.
For instance, according to a report by Tech Crunch, Twitter is testing out a new custom Timeline feature, allowing users to see content on certain topics.
But this time, the microblogging platform quietly added chirp sounds on its mobile apps for Android smartphone and iPhone users.
Twitter App's New Chirp Sound
As per the news story by The Verge, their team also noticed that the iOS app of Twitter was blurting out some new noises as they navigated around the Blue Bird platform.
The online news outlet notes that refreshing your feed from the Twitter app leaves out a confirmation chirp sound.
Besides the short chirp, there is a little windup trill sound when Twitter users pull their feed to refresh the never-ending contents.
Twitter has yet to officially introduce the new sounds on its app. And as such, it is unclear when the chirping started rolling out to the users of its mobile app.
The Verge notes that as early as Friday, tweets sharing their encounter with these new chirp sounds have flooded on Twitter.
So it appears that the social media giant has already started rolling out its new novelty feature on its mobile app to a bunch of users before formally introducing it.

How to Hear Twitter's Chirp Sound
If you are part of the group that has yet to hear these new chirp sounds on Twitter, it is pretty easy to trigger.

Before trying it, check if your Twitter app is updated to the latest version on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Then, force close the app and re-open it before attempting to hear the new sounds to avoid disappointment.
From there, pull down your Twitter feed to refresh. You should hear the new chirp sound by then. If you are not hearing some new noises, do not panic, as they might still be on their way to your device.
