Apple's iMac Pro ceased production last March 2021, and the public who enjoyed having the personal computer with black housing got the sad news from the company. One of the main reasons for discontinuing the technology is the Intel processors it uses for computer functions, along with its decline in the market.
There is news regarding the new iMac Pro and an insider said it would come with the M3 chip.
Apple iMac Pro is Coming Soon with the M3? Insider Claims
According to Mark Gurman via the Bloomberg Power On Newsletter, there are two new iMac models that Apple is currently working on, setting itself up as the next desktop flagship of the company. Not only that, but the new iMac Pro will also bring the latest M3 chipset that Apple brought with its initial change to the new processor.
The first iMac that saw its transition to M1 was released last 2021, and it is up for a refresh with its designs and sizes, along with a new chip that follows its current release of the M2. The release dates are still unknown, but these devices are speculated to be the next ones to come for the iMac franchise of the company.
Two design sizes will bring the standard size of 24 inches, with the next size being the 27-inch desktop.
Apple iMac Pro: Better Performance with the M3
Of course, it is not only the design that will change with the new iMac Pro, as it will also have the 27 inches screen alongside the new M3 that Apple will allegedly debut soon. However, these are all speculations for the next device, and Apple may go along the path it took before, which put the M1 with the 2021 refresh of the device.
And in this case, the M2 on the next iMac.
Apple's Computers: Then and Now
Undoubtedly, one of the most significant changes to the computer is something that most people witnessed in the present, and it is Apple's switch from Intel CPUs to a unified Silicon M-series chip. The latest chip available now is the M2, and it is what Apple packed into the 2022 MacBook Air that debuted this latest processor.
There were initial reports that Apple is not pushing through with its focus on bringing the 27-inch iMacs that earlier rumors were talking about for its next release. These so-called 27-inch iMacs are the next-generation personal computers of the company that will rely on a tabletop setup, which is also a plug-and-play device.
Apple's computers evolved from its first releases, with significant hardware changes on its internal components that arrived in 2020. It gave Apple its exclusive take on the laptops and desktops it brought to the world, and now, it is featuring new devices for the public to choose from, based on their needs and requirements.
